Son of Famous Singer Arrested in Jerusalem with Over Kilogram of Cannabis
The 28-year-old son of a well-known singer was arrested late Wednesday night in Jerusalem on suspicion of possessing drugs not for personal use. The suspect, a resident of Modi'in, was apprehended during an operation by officers from the Oz station in the Jerusalem district. Police officers on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle and signaled the driver to stop for inspection.
During a search of the car, officers discovered approximately 1.1 kilograms of a substance believed to be cannabis. The drug was divided into dozens of separate baggies, raising suspicions that it was intended for distribution rather than personal consumption. The manner in which the substance was packaged led investigators to believe it was meant for sale.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken for questioning at the Oz station. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the drug possession and the charges against him.
