Son of Well-Known Singer Arrested With Over 1kg of Drugs
Police in Jerusalem arrested a 28-year-old man, identified as the son of a prominent Israeli singer, after discovering approximately 1.1 kilograms of cannabis packaged in dozens of small bags inside his vehicle. The arrest occurred during a routine patrol when officers stopped his car on suspicion.
Investigators believe the drugs were pre-packaged for distribution and were intercepted just before being sold on the streets of Jerusalem. The method of packaging and distribution suggests the suspect was acting as a courier or distributor.
The suspect, a resident of Modi'in, was taken into custody for further questioning. Police are currently working to determine the source of the drugs, their intended recipients, and whether other individuals are involved in the distribution network.
The police stated, "Just before distribution: Jerusalem District Police arrested a suspect with approximately 1.1 kg of a substance suspected to be cannabis, divided into portions, which was allegedly intended for distribution throughout the city." The suspect has not yet been formally charged as the investigation continues.
