Haifa Municipal Inspector's Foul-Mouthed Tirade Caught on Camera

An unusual verbal altercation between a Haifa municipal inspector and a passerby was captured on camera in the city's Naveh Sha'anan neighborhood. According to witnesses, a young man had spread sand on an oil slick on the road to prevent pedestrians and motorcyclists from slipping. Instead of acknowledging his efforts to prevent an accident, the inspector reportedly issued him a citation.

During the confrontation, the inspector was heard using vulgar language, telling another person who objected to the citation, "He can go into my ass." The incident escalated when the inspector engaged with another individual who tried to explain that the young man was acting to prevent harm to others. The person documenting the incident noted that after a motorcyclist had already slipped, bystanders had moved the fallen motorcycle and spread sand on the oil slick. They had also temporarily placed another motorcycle to block part of the road to prevent further accidents.

The inspector, however, demanded the removal of the blocking motorcycle, threatening citations if it was not moved. When a motorcyclist stated he would contact someone at the municipality to explain the situation, the inspector repeated her offensive remark. The person filming questioned the municipal inspector's conduct, pointing out the oil slick, the previous accident, and the efforts to ensure public safety.

The Haifa Municipality stated that there are discrepancies between the accounts of the incident and that it will be thoroughly investigated. The inspector will be summoned for a clarification session to discuss the circumstances and her conduct. The municipality emphasized its serious view of any allegations of inappropriate behavior by its employees and confirmed that the employee's account would be heard as part of the review.
