Israeli Forces Dismantle Terror Infrastructure, Seize Weapons Deep in Syria
Israeli reserve soldiers from the 228th Brigade, part of Division 210, have concluded a three-month operation deep within Syrian territory aimed at neutralizing direct threats to Israel. During the complex mission, the troops raided terror infrastructure, interrogated dozens of suspects, and apprehended several operatives.
The forces also confiscated substantial quantities of weapons, including RPGs, mortar shells, and Kalashnikov rifles, intended for use against Israeli civilians. This operation marks the fifth reserve duty for the 228th Brigade since the start of the current conflict.
The 228th Brigade has handed over control of the area to the 2nd Brigade. Division 210 emphasized that offensive operations will continue uninterrupted to ensure the security of residents in the Golan Heights and northern Israel.
