Israeli Forces Seize Rockets, Mortars, Kalashnikovs in Syria Operations

Israeli forces have concluded a three-month operation in the front security zone in Syria, during which they dismantled terrorist infrastructure and seized a significant cache of weapons. The forces, from Brigade 228 under the command of Division 210, interrogated dozens of suspects and apprehended several operatives as part of targeted operations aimed at removing threats and preventing hostile elements from establishing themselves near the Israeli border.

Among the seized weaponry were RPG rockets, mortar shells, and Kalashnikov rifles. The operations focused on identifying and destroying infrastructure that could be used by terrorist groups in the area, thereby reducing threats to Israel and ensuring the security of communities in the Golan Heights.

This marks the fifth reserve duty rotation for Brigade 228. They will be replaced by forces from Brigade 2, who will continue the operational activities in the sector. The IDF stated that Division 210 forces will continue to operate in Syria based on situational assessments, with the goal of eliminating threats and maintaining the security of Israeli civilians, particularly those in the Golan Heights.
