14 Israelis Detained After Crossing Into Syria Near Golan Heights
Fourteen Israeli civilians crossed the border into Syrian territory in the Aloni HaBashan area, near the Golan Heights, on Sunday. An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) unit located the individuals and returned them to Israeli territory.
The civilians, who were detained, will be transferred to the Israel Police for further handling. The IDF strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a severe disruption to operational activity and a danger to the security of forces operating in the area.
