Three Israelis were killed when a single-engine light aircraft crashed near Bowie, Maryland, police said. The crash happened in Prince George's County, and the aircraft was identified as a Piper PA-28.
Authorities have not yet released any details about what caused the plane to go down. It is also still unclear whether anyone else was on board besides the three people who died.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, the NTSB, has opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
