The two met recently at Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the mayor, in a meeting notable for being the first time a sitting president had visited the location in 45 years. Despite past public disagreements, Trump expressed support for Adams, stating, "I certainly hope he's going to be a great mayor. I want what's good for New York, I want what's good for the country."
