Israeli prosecutors have indicted Raazi Al-Obra, 26, from Rahat, over a violent attack that left one minor dead and his older brother kidnapped. The charges allege murder under aggravated circumstances, aggravated robbery, weapons offenses, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
According to the indictment, the violence stemmed from a feud between two families. Al-Obra suspected the victim and his brother were involved in stealing weapons from his family.
In April, Al-Obra and several armed accomplices followed the two brothers. When their vehicle stopped on the roadside, Al-Obra tried unsuccessfully to break into it, then fired through the driver’s window, killing the minor. He and the armed men then seized the older brother and forced him into the trunk.
The abducted brother was later found in Rahat injured and in need of medical treatment. The case now proceeds on the charges brought by the State Prosecutor’s Office.
