Prosecution to Charge Two Brothers in Murder of Hamid Abu Bakr in Rahat

A pre-indictment statement has been filed against two brothers suspected of involvement in the murder of 25-year-old Hamid Abu Bakr from Rahat last year. The incident reportedly began with a verbal dispute on a road between the suspects and Abu Bakr, which escalated into a loud argument. The main suspect, Daoud Karinawe, arrived at the scene after a call from his brother and shot Abu Bakr in the lower body. After Abu Bakr fell, the second suspect assaulted him with a metal rod, leading to his death shortly thereafter. Daoud Karinawe fled to Palestinian Authority territories and was arrested in Ramallah in May.
