Ben Gvir Demands Execution for Terrorist in Benjamin Attack

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is demanding the application of the death penalty law for terrorists against the perpetrator of the recent attack in Benjamin. Ben-Gvir stated that this is the first instance where the law can be implemented, asserting that "there is a mandatory sentence here, now execution."

Ben-Gvir, who also chairs the Otzma Yehudit party, believes the current case necessitates the death penalty, calling it "the first case where the death penalty law for terrorists can be carried out." He emphasized that the law mandates the sentence in this specific situation, stating, "In this case, there is a mandatory sentence, and therefore we demand to apply this sentence and carry out the execution of the terrorist."

He further added, "The law is the law, this is the law we passed, this is the law that allows the execution of the terrorist, and this is the opportunity. Now execution."
