Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for the execution of the perpetrator of a recent terror attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf. Following the arrest of the individual responsible for the attack, Ben-Gvir stated that this is the first instance where the law allowing the execution of terrorist murderers, passed by his Otzma Yehudit party, can be applied.
"This is the first case where the law on the death penalty for terrorists can be applied," Ben-Gvir declared. He asserted that the death penalty is a mandatory punishment in this specific case and that the law must be implemented. "The law is the law, we passed it, it allows for the execution of a terrorist, and this is an opportunity to apply it. Now, execution," he added.
