Israeli Leaders Demand Harsh Response to West Bank Attack

Following a deadly shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region, Israeli political figures have called for severe repercussions. Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, stated that the IDF should enter the village from which the terrorist originated and "level it to the ground," emphasizing that terrorism has no forgiveness and perpetrators must pay a high price. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, leading the "BaYachad" opposition party, asserted that Israelis must feel secure everywhere and called for the pursuit of the terrorist and their collaborators, alongside a resolute fight against terrorism.

Gadi Eisenkot, head of the "Yashar" party, pledged that the struggle against those harming Israel would continue under all circumstances and in all locations. He also offered condolences for the attack, describing it as a severe blow to the nation. Earlier, Lieberman had stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bears responsibility for the October 7th events and reiterated that his party would not join Netanyahu's government.

The attack occurred in the Benjamin area, with assailants opening fire on Israelis in Neve Tzuf before fleeing. Initial reports indicated one person sustained a critical gunshot wound. Authorities reportedly located the suspects' vehicle, but no official confirmation of arrests has been made.
