Israeli Official Vows Resilience After West Bank Shooting Attack

Israel Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, visited the scene of a severe shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the West Bank. During the incident, a resident was critically injured by gunfire from a terrorist.

Gantz described the attack, stating, "Residents came to immerse themselves in the spring before Yom Kippur, and a terrorist armed with an M16 opened fire on them." He emphasized the ongoing, sophisticated manhunt for the attacker, involving the IDF, police, Shin Bet, and Border Police.

"This is a very difficult event, but the forces are working diligently," Gantz said at the scene. "We are strong and will get through this. During Sukkot, this place will be full of hikers. No one will drive us out of here."

The attack occurred at a spring near Neve Tzuf, a settlement in the central West Bank. The injured resident was evacuated for medical treatment. Security forces are conducting a widespread search for the perpetrator.
