Israeli Official Vows Resilience After West Bank Terror Attack

Israel Gantz, head of the Benjamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, visited the scene of a severe terror attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the West Bank. During the incident, a resident was critically wounded by gunfire from a terrorist armed with an M16 rifle. The attack occurred as residents were preparing to immerse themselves in a spring near the settlement, a common practice before the Yom Kippur holiday.

Gantz addressed the ongoing large-scale manhunt for the perpetrator, stating, "This is a very difficult event, but the IDF, police, Shin Bet, and Border Police are conducting a sophisticated manhunt for the terrorist." He emphasized the community's resolve, declaring, "We are strong and will get through this. During Sukkot, this place will be full of hikers. No one will drive us out of here."
