Shin Bet Chief Zini Vows to Intensify Counterterrorism Operations After West Bank Attack

Shin Bet chief David Zini held a situation assessment at the scene of a deadly attack in the West Bank on Friday, directing an increase in intelligence gathering and counterterrorism efforts in the area. The meeting included Shin Bet commanders from the Samaria region and IDF officers, focusing on expanding offensive actions against terror infrastructures in local villages.

Zini described the morning attack as severe and painful, expressing condolences to the victims' families and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. He emphasized the close cooperation between Shin Bet and the IDF, stating that they are working tirelessly together to prevent terrorism and are continuously reviewing the situation to deepen operational measures as needed.

Highlighting recent successes, Zini noted that dozens of attacks have been thwarted almost nightly in recent months, though this particular attack was not prevented in advance. He pledged to continue efforts to apprehend anyone involved or planning attacks against Israeli civilians.
