Shin Bet Chief Visits Border Police Anti-Terror Unit to Enhance Operational Coordination

Shin Bet Chief David Zini conducted his first official working visit to the National Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Border Police on Sunday evening. He was welcomed by the unit commander, Deputy Commissioner A. During the meeting, they held a professional discussion focused on strengthening operational and technological coordination between Shin Bet and the unit.

The discussion covered the use of advanced technological and operational tools in joint activities, as well as ways to further enhance field responses against terrorist threats to protect the state. Senior commanders highlighted significant achievements resulting from continuous cooperation between security agencies, which has led to precise operational actions that thwarted various terror threats and prevented harm to civilians.

Zini expressed deep appreciation for the extensive security work carried out by the unit and praised the bravery and resourcefulness of the fighters in their missions. The visit concluded with Zini laying a wreath at the unit’s memorial in the base, honoring the fallen fighters who died in the line of duty.
