Shin Bet Chief Urges Public to Avoid Vigilantism After Deadly Terror Attack

Shin Bet Chief David Zini held a situation assessment on Friday afternoon at the scene of a deadly terror attack in the Samaria region with Shin Bet and IDF commanders. He instructed to intensify intelligence gathering and counterterrorism operations in local villages and to expand offensive actions against terror infrastructures in the area. Zini described the attack as severe and painful, expressing condolences to the victims' families and wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.

He emphasized the ongoing close cooperation between Shin Bet and the IDF, stating they work tirelessly together to prevent terrorism in the region. Despite recent successes in thwarting dozens of attacks over the past months, Zini acknowledged that this particular attack was not prevented in advance. He assured that efforts to apprehend those involved or planning attacks against Israeli civilians will continue unabated.
