Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has called for the execution of the perpetrator of a terrorist attack near Neve Tzuf, following the suspect's arrest. Ben-Gvir stated that this is the first instance where the law allowing the death penalty for terrorists can be applied. He asserted that the law, which was passed by his "Otzma Yehudit" faction, mandates capital punishment in such cases. "The law is the law, we passed it, it allows for the execution of a terrorist, and this is an opportunity to apply it. Now, execution," Ben-Gvir declared, emphasizing that the death penalty is a mandatory punishment in this situation.
