Israeli Father of Three Drowns During Family Vacation in Slovenia
Gil Hillel, a 44-year-old father of three from Kibbutz Yizrael, drowned to death on Sunday while on a family vacation in Slovenia. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation.
Hillel, who was married, was on holiday with his family in the country when the drowning occurred. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been updated on the case. The department for Israelis Abroad and Israel's representative in the region are providing support to the family and assisting with arrangements for the repatriation of his body for burial in Israel.
Kibbutz Yizrael announced Hillel's death with sorrow, stating that he was born and raised in Moshav Mikhmoret and moved to Kibbutz Yizrael after marrying a member of the kibbutz, where he built his home. Kibbutz members received the news with shock and pain and are surrounding the extended family, friends, children, and youth with support.
