Netanyahu Joins Thousands at Western Wall for Pre-Yom Kippur Prayers
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu participated in the final Selichot prayers before Yom Kippur at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Sunday night, September 20. Tens of thousands of people attended the prayer service. He was joined by Israel's Chief Rabbis, David Yosef and Kalman Meir Ber, along with Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich, the rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites. Among the attendees were former hostages released from Hamas captivity. During the ceremony, Netanyahu recited a prayer for the well-being of IDF soldiers. This prayer marked the last large-scale Selichot reading at the Western Wall before the start of Yom Kippur. According to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, approximately two million worshippers visited the site over the past month.
