Police Investigate Teenager After Stolen Rocket Fired at Israeli Town
Israeli police are investigating a minor in connection with the firing of a stolen anti-tank rocket towards a residential area in Jaljulia, a town in central Israel. The rocket, identified as a "Lao" type and reportedly stolen from the military, caused no injuries when it struck.
Police forces, in cooperation with intelligence investigators from the Kfar Qassem station and Border Police National Guard officers, conducted raids on several locations in Jaljulia under a court order. During these searches, officers seized two handguns, a "Beretta" and an "FN," along with ammunition. Additionally, 14 surveillance cameras were confiscated, some of which were directed at public spaces.
A minor residing in the area was arrested on suspicion of involvement in firing the rocket. The minor was brought before a court to request an extension of their detention, but the court ultimately decided to release the individual under restrictive bail conditions.
