Stolen IDF Rocket Fired at Homes in Kafr Qasim; Police Investigate

A stolen Israel Defense Forces (IDF) anti-tank rocket was fired Wednesday evening towards a residential compound in Kafr Qasim, a city in central Israel. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Police forces from the Kafr Qasim station arrived at the scene following the report of the shooting. They initiated searches and a manhunt for suspects, while also collecting evidence from the site. The findings were transferred to forensic and explosives labs for further examination.

Authorities are investigating the incident, with police stating that the apparent motive is criminal. The event occurs approximately one week after police reported seizing an anti-tank rocket during an operation targeting violent disputes within the Arab community and the illicit flow of weapons from the IDF.

In that prior operation in Ramla, conducted with various police units, an anti-tank rocket was discovered in a residential compound, leading to the arrest of a local resident. In a separate operation in Lod, police seized six weapon magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, detaining a suspect.

Police indicated that these operations are part of an ongoing effort to combat violent disputes in the Arab community and to address weapons stolen from the IDF.
