Defeated Likud Lawmaker Lashes Out at Staff for Ignoring Him

A video circulating on social media shows Israeli lawmaker Hanoch Milivietsky of the Likud party complaining to his staff that they have not responded to his calls since the party's primary elections. Milivietsky, who chairs the Knesset's Finance Committee, was ranked 38th in the primaries, a position considered unlikely to secure him a seat in the next Knesset.

In the video, Milivietsky expresses frustration, stating, "I don't know who is coming with me tomorrow. I'm happy you all have plans, and I'm happy no one finds it necessary to answer me after so much time." He laments the lack of communication, particularly in the weeks following the primaries, and questions their commitment, offering to end their employment if they are unwilling to work. He states, "On September 30th, you are all going home, do you want that?" He adds that he needs someone to drive and film for him in the remaining time and asks for clear communication about their availability.

Milivietsky accuses his staff of disrespect, saying, "You are disrespecting me with a lack of consideration that I don't think I deserve." He demands to know who will be working with him in the coming months, stating he needs someone to drive and film for him. He concludes by saying if they cannot provide this, he will find replacements.

Or Yitzhak, Milivietsky's spokesperson, responded to the video's release, calling it "sad" that someone would leak such a clip from a private team group chat that has been active for over four years. She asserted that the public release does not change the facts and highlighted Milivietsky's considerate nature and collaborative work with his team throughout their tenure. She added, with Yom Kippur approaching, that the person who leaked the video should be ashamed.
