Likud Lawmaker Scolds Aides After Election Setback

A video surfaced on social media showing Hanoch Milvitzky, a Likud Member of Knesset and chairman of the Finance Committee, confronting his office staff about their lack of responsiveness since the party's primary elections. Milvitzky, who secured the 38th spot on the Likud list, which is unlikely to guarantee him a seat in the next Knesset, expressed frustration that his aides had not replied to his calls or provided updates on their availability.

"Since the primaries, except for Or Yitzhak (the spokesperson) who works every day and with whom I was in constant contact regarding closing accounts, I haven't burdened any of you in the last three to four weeks. Now you're not even answering me," Milvitzky stated in the video. He added, "If you don't want to work and don't feel obligated, that's fine, let's end it. On September 30th, you're all going home. If necessary, I'll bring someone to be with me for the remaining month to month and a half."

Milvitzky further criticized his staff for what he perceived as disrespect and a lack of commitment, demanding to know within half an hour who would be available to work with him. He specified his need for a driver and a photographer, stating that if four people couldn't provide this, they should inform him so he could make alternative arrangements.

Or Yitzhak, Milvitzky's spokesperson, responded to the video's publication, calling it "sad" that someone would release such a clip from a private office group chat. She emphasized that the video, one of many communications over four years, does not negate Milvitzky's work ethic or his consideration for his team. Yitzhak also noted the timing, with Yom Kippur approaching, and stated that the leaker should be ashamed.
