Israeli Lawmaker's Angry Staff Tirade Leaked Online

Knesset Member Chanoch Milvitsky of the Likud party has been caught on video complaining bitterly about his office staff's perceived lack of responsiveness and support. The recording, which Milvitsky apparently made to his staff, was leaked online and shared on Twitter by journalist Akiva Novik.

In the video, Milvitsky, wishing his staff a happy new year, expressed frustration that as of 8:21 PM, he still didn't know who would be accompanying him the next day. He stated that while he was happy his staff had plans, he was also pleased that none of them could find the time to respond to him or inquire about his well-being. He noted an exception was one employee who handled post-primary election financial settlements.

Milvitsky continued his tirade, saying, "Now you don't even answer me. So, if you don't want to work and don't feel obligated to me, let's all finish at the end of the month, and you'll all go home. I'll hire someone who will be constantly by my side if I deem it necessary. I don't think I deserve this kind of treatment from you. You don't respect me. You have half an hour to tell me who will go with me tomorrow. I need a driver and a photographer."

The leaked video generated mixed reactions online. Some commenters felt Milvitsky had brought the situation upon himself. However, many others expressed outrage that the private recording was leaked from the office. Right-wing activist Baruch Marzel stated, "It's very good that he will be kicked out of Likud," and wished that the staff members who leaked the video would never find employment, calling them "insolent." Former political consultant Lavi Eisenman commented, "It's not good at all that this video came out of the office. The office is a cesspool." Another user called the leak "disgusting," emphasizing the breach of trust among supposed confidants.
