MK Milvitzky Scolds Staff After Primary Loss, Leaked Video Shows

Following his failure to secure a realistic spot in the Likud party primaries, Knesset Member Hanoch Milvitzky found his office atmosphere had shifted. A leaked video circulating online shows Milvitzky reprimanding his staff for not responding to his requests regarding attendance for the following day.

"You are disrespecting me with a lack of respect I don't think I deserve from you," Milvitzky stated in the recording, expressing frustration that by 8:21 PM, he still didn't know who would accompany him. He complained that aside from one employee dealing with post-primary matters, he had asked little of his staff in recent weeks, yet his messages were going unanswered.

Milvitzky threatened to end their employment on September 30th if they felt no obligation to work, stating he would find replacements for the remaining month or so of his term. He emphasized he wasn't micromanaging them but was met with disrespect. He demanded to know who would attend with him within half an hour, specifying the need for a driver and a cameraman.

The video's leak sparked reactions within the political sphere. Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf defended Milvitzky and criticized the leak. Political commentator Michael Shemesh, however, linked the incident to Milvitzky's past confrontations with government employees, suggesting a role reversal. Shemesh recalled Milvitzky berating a female government employee and banging on a table, then contrasted it with Milvitzky's current distress over being ignored after his electoral defeat, concluding with a pointed remark about remembering "people first" for the future.
