SAS Scandinavian Airlines Postpones Return Flights to Tel Aviv
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has decided to halt the planned resumption of flights between Copenhagen and Tel Aviv, which were scheduled to begin on October 26. This decision comes less than two weeks after the airline announced its return to Israel, intending to operate four weekly flights on the route.
SAS stated that after a reassessment of operational and commercial conditions, the company concluded that the current circumstances are not suitable for launching the route at this time. The airline emphasized that Tel Aviv remains an important destination and that they will continue to monitor developments for a future launch.
This is not the first time SAS has suspended operations to Israel. The airline had previously returned to flying to Israel in October 2025 after a decade-long hiatus, but later ceased operations again due to the security situation and regional developments. The recent announcement of a renewed attempt to return to Ben Gurion Airport with four weekly flights has now been put on hold indefinitely.
