Major Drug Bust on Highway 40: Crystal Meth Worth Millions Seized

Police and Border Police forces in southern Israel intercepted a vehicle on Highway 40, seizing approximately 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of 3 million shekels. Four suspects, identified as foreign workers from Thailand in their 30s and 40s, were arrested at the scene.

The operation was part of an initiative by the forces who suspected the vehicle had arrived in the southern region to collect a large quantity of drugs. Officers prepared for the arrest as the car traveled north on Highway 40. A search of the vehicle following the apprehension revealed the significant drug haul.

The four suspects were taken into custody along with the seized drugs for further investigation at the Ayarot police station. Commander of the Ayarot station, Superintendent Yehav Siman, stated that the seizure was the result of focused activity and cooperation between the forces, adding to ongoing efforts against drug trafficking. He pledged continued action to locate offenders, seize drugs, and bring those involved to justice.
