Israeli Police Seize 1.6 Kg of Suspected Crystal Meth in Beit Kama Vehicle

Israeli police forces, including the Southern National Guard fighters of the Border Police and detectives from the Southern District YAMAR unit, seized 1.6 kilograms of suspected crystal meth hidden inside a vehicle at the Beit Kama junction on Wednesday. The drugs were discovered during a covert operation with the assistance of the police dog Ikra, concealed within the engine cover and behind the rear seats. Two suspects, both 22-year-old residents of the Bedouin diaspora, were arrested and taken for questioning. The vehicle used to transport the drugs was also confiscated.

In a separate operation two days earlier, detectives from the Rahat station and Southern National Guard fighters uncovered an illegal money exchange business operating from a vehicle in the Rahat industrial area. Two suspects, aged 44 and 72 and residents of Rahat, were arrested after large sums of money were found in Israeli and foreign currencies, including 139,942 shekels, 646 US dollars, 10,305 Jordanian dinars, and 440 euros. Both were taken in for investigation.
