Four Foreign Workers Arrested With Millions in Crystal Meth

Police and National Guard forces arrested four foreign workers on Thursday, seizing approximately 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of 3 million shekels. The drugs were discovered during a proactive operation on Highway 40, where officers from the Ayarot station, in cooperation with the southern National Guard of the Border Police, intercepted a vehicle suspected of transporting a large quantity of narcotics.

The vehicle, believed to have arrived from the south to collect the drugs, was stopped as it traveled north on Highway 40. A search of the car revealed the significant drug haul.

The four suspects, identified as foreign workers from Thailand in their 30s and 40s, were apprehended at the scene. They were taken, along with the seized substances, to the Ayarot station for further investigation.

Superintendent Yahel Siman, commander of the Ayarot station, stated that the seizure was the result of "focused activity and cooperation between forces." He added, "This joins our ongoing efforts against those involved in drug trafficking. We will continue to act with all available means to locate criminals, seize drugs, and bring those involved to justice."
