Thousands of Students Celebrate Daily Rambam Study Program

Thousands of students from the Hamad (Religious State Education) network gathered at the Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem to mark the completion of the "Book of Times" and the commencement of the "Book of Women" within the framework of the daily Rambam study program. The event celebrated the start of another academic year for the program, which has seen increasing participation among youth.

The ceremony, held during the Ten Days of Repentance, featured prominent rabbis and public figures. Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Chief Rabbi of Safed, and Rabbi Moshe Shlomo Amar, former Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel and Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, were in attendance. Rabbi Yishai Gertler, National Supervisor for Elementary Education in Hamad, addressed the students, praising their dedication to daily study of Maimonides' "Mishneh Torah" and emphasizing the sense of community among participants.

Rabbi Avraham Zerbib, a judge and IDF veteran, shared his personal experience of studying the daily Rambam throughout his military service, encouraging the students to maintain their commitment. The event's host, singer Avihai Sherman, highlighted the unique nature of the program, which covers the entirety of Jewish law from beginning to end.

The celebration included interactive quizzes and a "battle of minds" competition focused on the "Book of Women," with prizes awarded to participants. The evening concluded with musical performances by singers Akiva and Eliצור, hosted by Naor Karmi.
