Thousands Celebrate Torah Study at Jerusalem's Sultan's Pool

Thousands of female students from hundreds of religious educational institutions gathered at Jerusalem's Sultan's Pool on Tuesday for a large-scale event celebrating Torah study. The event marked the opening of the school year and the launch of the "Daily Rambam" initiative, part of a two-day program involving over 13,000 students celebrating the completion of Torah study cycles.

The students dedicated personal time to studying the "Masa Mitzvah" booklets, which cover all the Torah's commandments. The gathering, held during the Ten Days of Repentance, included prayers for the success of IDF soldiers and a commitment to divine sovereignty.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the Chief Rabbi of Safed, addressed the students, highlighting Jerusalem's transformation into a holy city. The event's host, Avihai Sherman, emphasized the significance of the initiative, which encompasses the entire Torah from the first to the last commandment. Rabbi Gad Bartov, the national supervisor for post-elementary education in the Religious State Education Administration (Hemed), blessed the students and described the gathering as a "redemption gathering" fostering closeness and prayer for Israel's salvation.

The celebration culminated in musical performances by popular Jewish artists Ishay Rivo and Elai Tzuri, accompanied by musician Naor Karmi. The event also featured trivia contests based on the study material, along with dancing and singing, aiming to demonstrate the youth's return to religious observance out of love and connection to the Torah and Jewish values.
