Jerusalem Torah Leaders Celebrate Grandchildren at Mosdei Olam Chumash Ceremony

A moving and uplifting event took place in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem, marking the Chumash ceremony of the Mosdei Olam network of Talmud Torah schools. The event, presided over by Rabbi David Avraham, head of the yeshiva, drew hundreds of parents and grandparents, including prominent Torah sages who came to celebrate as grandparents to the fifth-grade preparatory class students beginning their Torah studies.

The honored guests at the head table included Rabbi Shlomo Yedidya Zeafrani, Rabbi David Attia, Rabbi Yosef Shlush, Rabbi Moshe Peniri, Rabbi Yoram Maimon, and other rabbis. Torah leaders unable to attend sent warm blessings to their grandchildren and all the students. The ceremony was elaborately produced, featuring children dressed in festive attire against an impressive backdrop.

Highlights included the singing of "The Prayer of Entering the Study Hall," accompanied by footage of teachers praying at the Cave of the Patriarchs for the children's success, and an emotional video where each student shared their Torah aspirations. Rabbi Avraham emphasized the great privilege of raising a pure generation of Torah scholars and the flourishing of educational institutions today. Each student received a beautifully printed Chumash from the yeshiva head, followed by joyous dancing with parents lifting their children on their shoulders in honor of Torah, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and hope.
