500 Yeshiva Students Attend Special Torah Study Event in Bnei Brak

Approximately 500 yeshiva students from across Bnei Brak participated in a unique evening of in-depth Torah study, debate, and intellectual challenge as part of the "Steigen Leil Shishi" initiative. This special event, held during the Bein Hazmanim (interim vacation period), was organized by the Shabti organization under the Sephardic Communities Association of Bnei Brak, with the encouragement of Mayor Rabbi Chanoch Zeibert. The initiative is led by Deputy Mayors Rabbi Shlomi Elharar and Rabbi Eliyahu Shushan, who emphasize the importance of supporting yeshiva students during these transitional periods before the upcoming Elul season.

The evening began with a recreational gathering featuring game tables, providing a refreshing environment for the students. Afterwards, the participants moved to the Great Study Hall for a spirited Torah learning session. Rabbi Yehonatan Shushan, a prominent dayan and author of the "Choshen LaMaaseh" series, presented contemporary halachic issues, engaging the students in deep analysis and lively halachic debate. The students actively participated, demonstrating impressive knowledge and enthusiasm.

Those who excelled in answering complex halachic questions were rewarded with valuable prizes, including vouchers for hats, fine suits, and books, preparing them for their return to the study halls. The event concluded with a lavish Friday night meal, fostering a spirit of unity and dedication among the yeshiva students. Rabbi Shlomi Elharar highlighted the significance of the initiative, calling yeshiva students the "vanguard of the entire Jewish people and Bnei Brak in particular," and expressed gratitude to Mayor Zeibert for his support. Rabbi Eliyahu Shushan noted the overwhelming response as proof of the community's thirst for quality Torah activities and pledged continued investment in the welfare of Torah scholars in the city.
