Hundreds of Yeshiva Students in Modiin Illit Open Bein Hazmanim Study Sessions After Tisha B'Av Fast

About an hour after the conclusion of the Tisha B'Av fast, hundreds of Torah students gathered at the "Avi Ezri - Ateret Yosef" study hall in Modiin Illit to begin special Bein Hazmanim (interim) yeshiva study sessions. This event was held as a show of strength against the ongoing draft decrees and persecution of Torah students amid the current political climate.

The gathering started with an hour and a half of silent study, followed by a lecture from Rabbi Rachamim Mizrachi, chairman of the 'Mamlachti' organization. Rabbi Mizrachi addressed the daily challenges faced by Torah study and engaged with the hundreds of students present in a discussion about the struggle to preserve Torah learning.

Rabbi Shlomo Yosef Zeffreni, president of the organization, was unable to attend due to a strengthening mission abroad but sent his blessings to the participants. The event was marked by a strong communal spirit and determination to continue Torah study despite external pressures.

The Bein Hazmanim sessions in Modiin Illit thus commenced with a focus on resilience and unity among the yeshiva community, reflecting broader concerns over the draft and the status of Torah study in Israel today.
