500 Yeshiva Students Attend Deep Torah Study Event in Bnei Brak During Bein Hazmanim

Approximately 500 yeshiva students from across Bnei Brak gathered for a special evening of intensive Torah study as part of the "Shtiegen Leil Shishi" initiative organized by the Shabti organization under the Sephardic Communities Association and supported by Mayor Hanokh Zeibert. The event, held during the Bein Hazmanim period between study sessions, included a broad program led by Deputy Mayors Shlomi Elharar and Eliyahu Shoshan, aimed at supporting yeshiva students during this downtime.

The evening began with a recreational area featuring game tables, providing a refreshing break before the main study session. The students then moved to the Great Beit Midrash hall for a unique and inspiring learning session led by Rabbi Yehonatan Shoshan, author of the Torah series "Choshen LaMaaseh." Rabbi Shoshan presented contemporary halachic issues, engaging the students in deep analysis and lively debate, with active participation and impressive knowledge displayed by the attendees.

During the session, students who answered complex halachic questions correctly received valuable prizes, including vouchers for hats, fine suits, and books, to encourage their continued dedication to Torah study. Following the learning, the students enjoyed a lavish Friday night meal together, fostering unity and camaraderie among the yeshiva community.

Deputy Mayor Shlomi Elharar emphasized the importance of supporting yeshiva students as the "vanguard of the Jewish people and Bnei Brak," expressing gratitude to Mayor Zeibert for backing the initiative. Deputy Mayor Eliyahu Shoshan highlighted the strong turnout as evidence of the community's thirst for quality Torah activities and pledged ongoing investment in resources for the city's Torah scholars. The event is part of Shabti's broader summer programming dedicated to the welfare of yeshiva students in Bnei Brak.
