Jerusalem Military Leaders and Community Scholars Celebrate Completion of Religious Study Amid Security Alerts

In the Ramat neighborhood of Jerusalem, a significant event was held at the Yabia Omer study hall, led by Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Tolidaano, grandson of the late Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. The ceremony marked the completion of the study of the religious texts "Chazon Ovadia" on Shabbat after six years of weekly joint learning sessions.

The highlight of the event was the graduation of evening kollels participants, including senior military officials and laborers, who studied the tractate Berachot together with community scholars. This achievement was made despite the challenges posed by frequent sirens and emergency calls during their study period.

The gathering was attended by prominent rabbis, including Chief Rabbi David Yosef, neighborhood rabbis, judges, and members of the Jerusalem city council. They bestowed blessings on the participants, encouraging them to continue expanding and honoring Torah study in the spirit of the late Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, whose legacy continues to inspire the community since its establishment.
