Israeli Religious Leaders and Officials Convene Across Jerusalem and Northern Israel for Strategic Meetings and Ceremonies
A series of significant gatherings and visits took place recently involving prominent Israeli religious figures and officials. The Chief Rabbi of the Prison Service, Brigadier General Rabbi Eyal Salman, hosted Colonel Rabbi Shoham Orkabi, head of the Military Rabbinate staff, for a professional meeting focused on emergency preparedness, handling of fallen soldiers, and enhancing cooperation between the Prison Service and the IDF. They toured Ma'asiyahu and Nitzan prisons to observe the Prison Service Rabbinate's activities.
In Jerusalem's Zion Square, Haredi commentator Israel Cohen participated in memorial discussions for Shira Banki on Tisha B'Av night, alongside public figures including Idan Amadi, Hili Troper, and Rebbetzin Hadassah Froman. Meanwhile, MK Tzvi Sukkot prayed at the seventh step in Hebron ahead of the Religious Zionist Party primaries.
Northern Israel saw Projector of the North, Aviad Friedman, visit the Kiryat Shmona Hesder Yeshiva with his aides, where Rabbi Ariel Barkai presented the yeshiva's development and regional contributions. In Nahariya, Minister Orit Strook bid farewell to Rabbi Yitzhak Feiglin, head of the Torani core and lecturer at the Hesder Yeshiva, who is relocating to Ariel after 25 years.
Deputy Knesset Speaker Limor Son Har-Melech met in Ramla with heads of Hesder Yeshivas Rabbi Aryeh Handler, Rabbi Yehuda Shraibi, and Rabbi Waksman. In Jerusalem, Rabbi Avishai Tzruya announced the return of the Ateret Jerusalem Yeshiva to its historic building after nearly 90 years, following a legal victory by the Torah Life General Endowment.
