Weapons and Military Gear Found in Lahav Forest Bust
Police and Prison Service detectives conducted a targeted search in the Lahav Forest on Tuesday, uncovering a cache of weapons and military equipment. The operation, aimed at combating illegal arms and serious crime in the Southern District, involved police officers from the City of David station and intelligence detectives from the Prison Service.
During the search, which utilized bomb-sniffing dogs, officers discovered six standard Israeli military fuses and additional military gear, including a backpack and helmet suspected of being stolen from the Israel Defense Forces. The seized fuses were handed over to the Southern District's explosives unit, which safely detonated them on-site.
