Shas MK Criticizes Supreme Court Over Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Memorial Event

Malchieli accused the judges of being "dragged along by the Attorney General," asserting that the court's decision would not halt commemorations for the revered rabbi.
Instead of the planned central gathering, Malchieli announced that thousands of smaller memorial gatherings, known as "hillulot," would be held across Israel in Rabbi Yosef's memory. He emphasized Shas's commitment, stating, "We will not give up on the legacy of Rabbi Ovadia."
