Israel's Supreme Court Rejects Shas Party's Appeal on Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Memorial Event
Israel's High Court of Justice on Wednesday rejected an urgent petition filed by the Shas party against the Attorney General, Gali Baharav-Miara. The petition challenged the Attorney General's decision to prevent the holding of a state memorial event for Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the late spiritual leader of the Shas party.
The court's judges noted that the petition was theoretical, as the event had already been canceled. Consequently, the court dismissed the appeal.
