Palestinian Man Arrested in West Bank for Praising Terrorists, Inciting Violence

A Palestinian man from the village of Rifat in the Benjamin region of the West Bank was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of incitement on social media. According to the Judea and Samaria District Police, recent online posts by the suspect included praise for terrorists, calls for conflict with Israel, and expressions of solidarity with Saddam Hussein. In one post, he reportedly lauded the perpetrators of a firebomb attack on Gilad Farm, referring to them as martyrs destined for paradise. In another, he allegedly called for fighting Israel and "putting an end to Zionism."

The suspect was taken for questioning at the Benjamin police station and is currently in custody, with the investigation ongoing. Police stated they are continuing their efforts to monitor and combat incitement online.

In a separate incident, an investigation into a Palestinian man in his 20s from the village of Bardala concluded with an indictment for incitement and supporting a hostile organization. The indictment alleges that the accused expressed identification with Hamas and support for its actions. Specifically, he is accused of publishing a video last month that combined footage of an explosion hitting an IDF tank in Gaza, overlaid with the Hamas logo, and a clip from the October 7th Hamas attack showing terrorists boarding a burning tank, dragging out a wounded soldier, and holding him captive.
