Court Reverses Ruling Against Netanyahu's Wife in Lawsuit
A Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has overturned a previous ruling that ordered a former housekeeper to pay Sara Netanyahu 100,000 shekels in compensation. The decision came after the former employee, Sylvie Ganciya, argued that her previous lawyer, Ofir Shimshon, committed serious procedural errors, missed deadlines, and failed to submit crucial legal documents, leading to her initial loss in the case. Ganciya is now represented by attorney Shaul Ida.
The court accepted Ganciya's request, effectively canceling the financial penalty and reopening the legal dispute. Aviad Glickman, a legal correspondent for Channel 13, reported the development, calling the verdict "Very good."
This case is not the only legal challenge involving the Prime Minister's wife. On September 10, Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic Party and a retired Major General, filed a defamation lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu for 2,550,000 shekels. The lawsuit stems from Netanyahu's alleged implication on Channel 14 that Golan had prior knowledge of the October 7th attacks.
