Dor Turgeman Stars in New England Revolution's MLS Victory Over Lewandowski's Chicago Fire

Israeli forward Dor Turgeman delivered a standout performance, scoring one goal and assisting another to lead the New England Revolution to a 2-1 away win against the Chicago Fire on Sunday night. This marks Turgeman's third multi-goal involvement game of the season in Major League Soccer.

Turgeman opened the scoring in the 39th minute, capitalizing on a breakaway after a defensive clearance. He outpaced a defender and slotted the ball into the corner past goalkeeper Chris Brady. This was his seventh goal of the season and third in his last five matches.

Early in the second half, Turgeman set up the Revolution's second goal. He received a through ball, entered the box from the left, and delivered a low cross to Peyton Miller, who tapped it in from close range. Turgeman now has five assists to go with his seven goals for the season.

The Chicago Fire, featuring Robert Lewandowski, managed to pull one back in the 62nd minute through Maren Haile-Selassie, who later had a goal disallowed for offside. Despite intense pressure and 21 shots to New England's four, the Fire could not equalize. New England goalkeeper Matt Turner and the defense held firm, preventing Lewandowski from scoring.

Fellow Israeli player Eli Pinhasi came on for Turgeman in the 81st minute to help secure the win. The New England Revolution, with four wins in their last five away games, remain third in the Eastern Conference with 43 points, two points behind Inter Miami.
