Man Dies, Woman Critically Injured in Two-Car Crash Near Rekhasim
A man in his 30s was killed in a severe two-car collision on Route 762 near Rekhasim on Sunday evening. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported a woman in her 40s, who sustained injuries to her abdomen and lower limbs, to Rambam Hospital in critical condition.
MDA paramedic Avi Boyar described the scene as a "very serious car accident" where two vehicles collided. He stated that the woman in one vehicle was trapped and in moderate condition, while the man in the other vehicle suffered severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, he was found to be without vital signs and his death was pronounced at the scene.
In a separate incident around the same time, a serious accident involving two vehicles near the Ashdod interchange resulted in a 21-year-old man sustaining serious injuries and three others suffering minor wounds.
