Bnei Sakhnin Signs Ghanaian Right-Back Leroy Awusu
Ghanaian right-back Leroy Awusu, valued at approximately one million euros by Transfermarkt, has officially signed with Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin. Awusu arrived in Israel and completed his move to the team managed by Yossi Abukasis, signing a one-year contract with an option for an additional two years.
Awusu, who can play both right-back and right-winger, developed in the Ajax youth system. He previously played for Odense in the Danish league, with prior stints at De Graafschap and Hull City. He joins Bnei Sakhnin as a free agent, bringing with him 99 appearances in the Dutch top division.
Last season, Awusu scored four goals and provided two assists in 32 matches for Odense. He also served as team captain during the season in which Odense was eliminated in the Danish Cup quarterfinals. His versatility and experience are expected to bolster Bnei Sakhnin's squad.
