Bnei Sakhnin Signs Highly Valued Right-Back Liroy Owusu
Israeli Premier League club Bnei Sakhnin has reached an agreement with right-back Liroy Owusu, who has landed in Israel for the final signing. Owusu, valued at approximately one million euros by Transfermarkt, was a free agent.
Owusu developed in the Ajax youth system and most recently played for Odense in the Danish league. He also had stints with De Graafschap and Hull City. The 27-year-old has 99 appearances in the Dutch top flight.
Last season, Owusu scored four goals and provided two assists in 32 matches for Odense. He is versatile, capable of playing both right-back and right-midfielder. He also served as captain for his team, which was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Danish Cup.
