Bnei Sakhnin Releases Second Foreign Player After Poor Performance
Israeli football club Bnei Sakhnin has parted ways with its second foreign player just three rounds into the new season. Angolan midfielder Norberto Carlos had his contract terminated by mutual agreement due to professional disappointment, according to Sport 5. Carlos's departure follows that of Dimitri Kabbara, who suffered a season-ending injury.
Carlos joined Sakhnin before the club's ownership changed to Khaled Duki. While initially signed before the ownership change, his performance did not meet expectations, and a subsequent injury further contributed to his release from the team's roster. The club is now reportedly focused on finding a new right-back, despite Ahmed Salman performing adequately in that position, to bolster the team's offensive capabilities.
Bnei Sakhnin is also seeking its first win of the season. The team, managed by Yossi Abuksis, is scheduled to play away against Hapoel Haifa on Monday.
