Two Youths Critically Wounded in Arab Israeli Shootings Within 24 Hours

A 14-year-old boy was critically injured by gunfire in Kafr Kanna on Saturday evening, according to MDA paramedics. He was taken to a local clinic and then transported to the Nazareth English Hospital. Police have launched an investigation, deploying a helicopter to aid in the search for the suspect. This incident marks the second severe shooting injury within the Arab Israeli community in less than a day.

Earlier, in Kafr Kanna, a 16-year-old boy sustained critical head injuries, possibly from a fall from a bicycle, and was evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa in a confused state. The previous night, a 16-year-old was shot and wounded in Jaljulia and taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

These incidents highlight a broader surge in violence within the Arab Israeli community, with 170 individuals killed since the beginning of the year. Disturbing footage from Arara in the Negev reportedly shows armed individuals openly carrying weapons and firing them, posing a significant danger to residents. Despite resident complaints and calls for intervention, the violence persists.

One resident from the Abu Arar family described an internal family dispute that led to shooting incidents, stating that police were informed immediately but the situation continues to deteriorate. Residents are urging authorities to intervene promptly to de-escalate the situation and prevent further casualties.
